We extend the license to all our paid products So far, the license was valid for 1 computer. To support homework, we change this license as follows: As of March 18, 2020, if you are the owner or user of a license for a product that is installed on a computer at work, you can also install and use the product on one computer at home. However, you cannot run the software on both computers at the same time. This change applies to both new and previously issued licenses. We often need to print multiple pages of a smaller format on a device that allows a larger format printing. In such case we need to impose (place) these pages on the final imposition sheet. This process called imposition is a typical task for offset printers, which usually work with formats of A2, A1 and larger but is also common in digital print with A3 or A3 formats. Even in personal use you might need to impose something – for example when we need to print business cards on an A4 sheet we are left with two options. We can either manually copy and paste the card design multiple times in the prepress software or use a tool specifically designed for the task. When we deal with such printing tasks often an application allowing us to print multiple pages on a single sheet becomes a necessity because it makes our work more time efficient, well arranged and also prevents us from making mistakes. The possibility to impose images – JPG, TIF, PSD etc. – is very useful for copyshops as well as for personal use. This way you can easily and quickly print more photos on large format in the size and amount according to your wishes. It's a simple way to print multiple images on one sheet. You can use the same tool for printing PDF files and images. Montax Imposer is available as a plug-in for Acrobat or as a standalone application. No other applications are required in the standalone edition! Montax Imposer includes a tool for correction of digital printer inaccuracies! New Variable Data Printing Extension for Montax Imposer is also available! It is possible to personalize final pdf using data from or file (Excel for example). This version also allows you to create barcodes directly in Montax (for example EAN, QR and much more) and add them to the PDF. You can see an example of using Variable Data Printing Extension. Montax Imposer is a tool designed specifically for imposition allowing you to impose pages and images to pdf on one or more final sheets. It is available for Windows OS (technical requirements) as an standalone application or as an Adobe Acrobat plug-in. Standalone application do not require any third-party application installed for output PDF generation, for preview and print final PDF can be used any PDF viewer. Plug-in requires Adobe Acrobat (in version 6 or higher) to work. If you are interested in the product do not hesitate to try our fully working version of the program called Montax Imposer Free! Please note that the plug-in is not compatible with Adobe Reader. Using Montax it is very easy to impose them on a sheet and export the resulting sheet to a new PDF file. The only restriction of the free version is the final sheet size – all its features are identical to the full version of the program! Other versions of the program including Montax Imposer Basic, Montax Imposer Standard and Montax Imposer Professional are available in the Products page. The version Montax Imposer Pro Hot supports automatic imposition using hotfolders and allows batch imposition. Montax Imposer has some extra features: can be added to a sheet (for example ticket numbers, brochure page numbers etc.). It is also possible to add other objects, marks, texts and custom PDFs (for example custom marks or strips). Numbering as well as other custom objects can be moved or resized directly in the work-area. It is possible to use custom objects as a collating marks. Montax Imposer allows the user to impose PDF files very quickly in various ways. Besides the standard N-UP imposition which places pages on the sheet in the order of appearance from the source PDF there are many other options. Consider a situation where one needs to impose and print an A5 format publication on an A3 sheet. When this is done without a custom imposition it is necessary to cut the final A3 sheet into A5 pages and then put the pages in the right order by hand. Montax Imposer, however, provides a "Cut & Stack" imposition option where the pages are placed in such a way that after the sheet is cut it is only necessary to place the A5 sheets on top of each other to get the correct order. When printing numbered items, such as entrance tickets, this feature comes in really handy because putting thousands of items in the right order by hand is nearly impossible. Another available imposition style is "Booklet" placing the first and the last page side by side on the sheet, the second and the second to last page on the back of the sheet and so on. The resulting sheet is then folded in the middle and stapled to obtain the booklet. Magazines, newspapers, books and similar printed matters are often imposed like this. There are many options available for this kind of imposition in Montax Imposer, such as cross-fold, double cross-fold, perfect binding and any other complex alternatives, including combinations of these. The imposition type "Calendar" is suitable for table calendars etc. Montax Imposer is very flexible and can be used in many ways. It allows the user to prepare simple, repetitive impositions quickly without the need of saving them as well as complex combinations of different imposing styles. Everyday users will appreciate the simplified automatic mode, where most of the necessary parameters of an imposition are calculated automatically. Of course, all of these parameters can be manually adjusted if it is necessary. To adjust these parameters a set of pallets is introduced in the program sorting the options thematically according to their functions. Many pallets can be switched to an extended mode allowing the user to adjust parameters that are not very common. If you do not need or use some of the functions of Montax, their palettes can easily be closed which makes the program control even easier and the interface simpler. At the same time it assures you that the closed palette will not affect the imposition, because when a palette is closed the features and parameters it controls are deactivated.Imposition Wizard is created with simplicity in mind and features a dead simple user interface which lets you focus on your main task. Imposition Wizard features all the standard impositions: n-up, step and repeat, cut stack and booklet schemes. You can use Imposition Wizard as imposition plugin for Adobe Acrobat or in standalone mode. One of the killer features of Imposition Wizard is its modern and lightweight user interface. It is the same on Mac and Windows, and when Imposition Wizard runs as Acrobat plugin or as a standalone application. Imposition Wizard has presets manager that stores all your layouts for re-using in the future. Setup imposition layout once, save it, then use it again and again to speed up the process, even from command line. We provide a fully functional demo version that you can download right now by clicking the Download button at the top right corner of the page. Download the demo to decide for yourself if Imposition Wizard fits your workflow. The demo-version is fully functional, it just adds watermarks on top of imposed pages.grid and the grid may have gaps between rows and columns. You can use the gaps to move the pages closer or further of each other, depending on your needs. Let’s start with a simple 8–Up layout like this: The distance between rows has been increased and all the rows are now further from each other. There is a more interesting feature of gaps that let you specify different gaps for different rows. Let’s enter “2 0” into the vertical gaps field: You may see that the distance between the first and second rows is still 2cm, while the second and third rows have no vertical gap at all. Then the distance between the third and fourth rows is again 2cm. For each next row Imposition Wizard look for the next number in the vertical gaps list. While the numbers are there, it takes and uses them one by one. Once the list is other, Imposition Wizard starts again from the beginning of the list. For the simple case, when the vertical gaps list was just “2” Imposition Wizard reads this number for each row, so all the rows were evenly distributed with 2cm distance. Then we changed it to “2 0” and for the first pair of rows, Imposition Wizard used 2cm, then for the next pair it was 0cm. Finally, for the third pair the list was over, so it started again and got 2cm. Here we put “0 2 4” to vertical gaps list: As expected, the distances between each pair of rows is 0cm, 2cm and 4cm. Multiple gaps are useful for manual making of booklets using shuffle imposition layout. This way you can group pages together, leaving the gaps only where they are needed.Booklet layout is used to arrange pages for printing booklets and books. Both Standalone and Acrobat versions of Imposition Wizard support booklets. It can be selected in the Layout drop–down list at the Layout tab of the right panel, choose “Booklet”: By default the whole source document is imposed as a single printing signature. For bigger documents you might need to print booklet as a series of signatures, stitch each of them separately and then hard-cover them altogether. This is called “Perfect binding” and can be enabled using Signatures option: You need to define output signature size in sheets, i.e. how many printed sheets will be bent, cut and stitched together. Then comes Add extra pages option that extends the last signature with empty pages, so it matches the size of the others. Perfect bound booklets also have Collating Marks option: Collating marks make it easier to stack printed and stitched signatures before gluing them up with the cover. For properly aligned book, these marks make up a diagonal line letting you visually control the signatures order. You can define size and color of the marks using the corresponding options. By default all the sheets in the output signature are intended to be bent and cut together. While it’s handy for smaller signatures, the more sheets are placed per stitch the more challenging the bending is. The Manual folding option helps defining how many output sheets are bent at once: Bent and cut sheets must be put one inside another in the order they were printed in order to assemble a valid booklet signature. Creep is a must-have option for thick signatures, it defines pages shift to/from the stitch in order to compensate the paper thickness: It basically has only two parameters: shift for the inside (inner–most) and the outside (outer–most, those facing the cover) pages. Imposition Wizard interpolates these values depending on the position of the sheet in signature and shifts the pages accordingly. At the first step it places a grid of a fixed size onto the sheet, then it fills the grid with pages, depending on the imposition layout. This way you can control the number of imposed pages and their position on the sheet. Let’s have a look at a simple 4–Up layout: All the imposition layouts let you control the grid, except for the Booklet one. The booklet layout controls the grid itself for your convenience. For the rest of layouts you control the grid yourself. You can configure the distance between rows and columns of the grid by defining page gaps at the right panel. Entering a single value sets a regular vertical or horizontal gap between columns or rows. You can read more about complex gaps The grid goes to the top left corner of the sheet. It is there for both even and odd sheets, as the duplex printing is inactive.PDF Studio is an all-in-one, easy to use PDF editor that provides all PDF features needed at a fraction of the cost of Adobe Acrobat and other PDF editors.
